Community Guidelines
Healing Horizons for FND is committed to creating calm, respectful, and capacity-aware spaces for individuals, families, professionals, and volunteers.
These guidelines support psychological safety, clarity of expectations, and shared responsibility within all HHFFND programs, groups, and community spaces.
Participation in our programs indicates agreement with the principles below.
We are committed to:
- Respectful and non-judgmental communication
- Recognition that symptoms are real and involuntary
- Avoiding stigma, dismissal, or comparison of experiences
- Honoring fluctuating capacity and energy
- Allowing space for different perspectives and lived experiences
Everyone’s experience with FND is unique. Differences in symptoms, recovery pace, or treatment approaches are expected.
Healing Horizons for FND provides non-clinical support.
Within our groups and spaces:
- Medical advice is not provided
- Participants should not diagnose or recommend treatment to others
- Promotion of specific treatment programs or commercial services is not permitted
- Crisis intervention is not provided
Participants are encouraged to consult qualified healthcare professionals for medical concerns.
To maintain a safe environment:
- Speak from personal experience rather than generalizing about others
- Avoid dismissive, shaming, or confrontational language
- Refrain from pressuring others to adopt specific viewpoints
- Allow participants to pass or remain silent without explanation
Moderators may intervene to redirect conversations when needed.
Community safety depends on trust.
Participants agree to:
- Respect the confidentiality of personal stories shared in groups
- Not record, screenshot, or redistribute group content
- Avoid sharing identifying details of others outside the group
Healing Horizons for FND will protect participant information in accordance with our Privacy & Confidentiality policies.
HHFFND programs are structured and moderated.
Healing Horizons for FND reserves the right to:
- Redirect conversations
- Set time limits
- Remove disruptive or harmful content
- Pause or discontinue participation if guidelines are not followed
These actions are taken to preserve safety and stability for the group as a whole.
Crisis and Safety Notice
Healing Horizons for FND is not an emergency or crisis service.
