About Healing Horizons for FND (HHFFND)
Healing Horizons for FND is a national nonprofit dedicated to supporting children, youth, adults, seniors, and families living with Functional Neurological Disorder. Our work focuses on connection, education, advocacy, and programs that help people feel understood, supported, and empowered in their everyday lives.
Founder & Leadership
Healing Horizons for FND (HHFFND) is a federally incorporated Canadian nonprofit organization founded and led by a woman living with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). The organization was intentionally designed using lived experience, accessibility-first principles, and structured governance practices to ensure that all resources, pacing, and supports are safe, low-demand, and appropriate for individuals with fluctuating neurological symptoms.
Leadership combines lived experience insight with formal organizational planning, safeguarding policies, and a trauma-informed framework to responsibly support individuals, families, and caregivers affected by FND across Saskatchewan, with long-term national scalability.
What We Do
Healing Horizons for FND is building a national support and education ecosystem for individuals and families affected by Functional Neurological Disorder.
Our work currently focuses on:
- developing accessible, plain-language educational resources about FND
- creating capacity-aware frameworks for future peer support programs
- supporting understanding, navigation, and emotional safety for people living with FND and those who support them
Live peer support groups and structured programs are in development and will be launched gradually, with accessibility, pacing, and safeguarding as core priorities.
Healing Horizons for FND does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment. Our role is to offer education, support, and connection that complements, not replaces clinical care.
Why Our Work Matters
People living with FND often struggle to access coordinated care, clear information, and emotional support. HHFFND was created to fill those gaps, bringing together lived experience, compassion, and evidence-informed guidance.
We believe that when people understand FND and feel supported, hope becomes possible, and quality of life improves.

How We Operate
HHFFND is guided by principles of transparency, collaboration, and respect. We work with volunteers, advisors, professionals, and community members across the country to ensure programs are safe, inclusive, and grounded in best practice.
As we grow, our commitment remains the same: Serve the FND community with care, integrity, and accountability.
A Community Built With Care and Purpose
