Board of Directors

Healing Horizons for FND is guided by a small founding Board committed to ethical, compassionate, and responsible governance as the organization establishes its national foundation.

Healing Horizons for FND is in an early governance phase. Board structure and leadership roles will continue to evolve as programs launch and organizational capacity grows.

Healing Horizons for FND is built on calm, compassionate, and responsible leadership. Our founding Board provides foundational oversight as the organization develops its programs, policies, and national structure, while remaining grounded in lived experience and community needs.

The Board’s role is to steward HHFFND’s mission, safeguard its values, and ensure that growth occurs with integrity, accessibility, and accountability.

Governance Context

As HHFFND evolves, formal Board roles and titles (such as Chair, Treasurer, or Secretary) may be clarified and expanded in alignment with best nonprofit governance practices.

We believe leadership should be supportive, collaborative, transparent, accessible, and paced with care.

Our governance approach is rooted in lived experience, trauma-informed values, inclusion, and FND-safe communication. Decisions are made with attention to both organizational responsibility and the real-world impact on people living with FND and their families.

As Healing Horizons for FND grows, we plan to thoughtfully expand Board representation to include additional perspectives, skills, and professional expertise that support our mission, national reach, and long-term sustainability.

Future Board recruitment will prioritize diversity of experience, governance competency, and a strong alignment with HHFFND’s values and purpose.
