Young Adults (18–25) With FND
A supportive, calm space for young adults navigating life with Functional Neurological Disorder.
Welcome
This page is for young adults who are balancing school, work, relationships, independence, and daily responsibilities while living with FND. These years can feel overwhelming, confusing, or unpredictable. You deserve a space that is calm, respectful, and grounded. You are not alone here.
FND happens when the brain and body have difficulty processing signals together. It is a real neurological condition, not something imagined or chosen.
Young adults may experience a wide range of symptoms:
- weakness or movement difficulties
- shaking, tremors, or functional seizures
- speech or sensory changes
- sudden or ongoing fatigue
- foggy thinking or difficulty focusing
- pain or unusual physical sensations
- overwhelm in busy or stressful environments
- Feeling frustrated, confused, or misunderstood makes sense.
Your symptoms are real and your experience is valid.
Our programs are created with young adults in mind and are designed to be calm and predictable.low pressure and flexible
- trauma informed and respectful
- non judgmental
- paced for fluctuating energy
You can join from bed, your desk, or your couch. Cameras are optional. You can speak, listen quietly, or take breaks whenever needed. There is no expectation to perform or push through symptoms.
Weekly groups follow a gentle, predictable structure so you always know what to expect.

- A grounding or settling moment
- An optional check in
- A gentle coping or self regulation practice

This is not therapy. It is a community space grounded in understanding and compassion.

A Supportive Message
You are not behind. You are not broken. You are navigating something real and challenging, often while managing responsibilities, expectations, and transitions that others may not fully see or understand.
Living with FND can affect education, work, relationships, and plans for the future, but it does not define your worth or limit your potential. You deserve understanding, flexibility, and support as you learn what helps your body and nervous system function more steadily over time.
