Regulation & Safety Menus
Regulation and safety menus are designed to support nervous system stabilization and physical grounding during periods of heightened distress, sensory overload, or loss of control.
These menus focus on containment, grounding, and physiological regulation, rather than emotional processing or reassurance. They are intended for moments when safety, orientation, or physical steadiness is the priority.
How These Menus Are Used
Regulation and safety menus offer optional activities that can be used when symptoms feel intense, overwhelming, or unsafe.
Individuals may choose one activity, return to the same menu repeatedly, or stop at any point. There is no expectation to complete a menu.

Important Notes
- Regulation and safety menus are not therapy or treatment plans.
- Not every option will feel supportive in every situation.
- It is appropriate to pause, stop, or leave a menu unfinished.
These menus are intended to support safety and regulation without pressure.
Choosing a Starting Point
If symptoms feel intense, disorganizing, or unsafe, regulation and safety menus may feel more supportive than emotional or comfort-based menus.
